The Clinical Research Nurse II will serve as a central point of coordination between physicians, clinical research staff, and patients, while also helping bring structure, accountability, and strong clinical judgment to a growing program. • Coordinate and manage patient care within clinical trials, including screening, enrollment, treatment administration support, and follow-up
  • Ensure adherence to study protocols, regulatory requirements, and institutional standards, helping reinforce compliance and best practices
  • Partner with investigators and study teams to resolve clinical and operational challenges in real time
  • Support communication with sponsors, monitors, and internal stakeholders as needed
  • Contribute to process improvements and help establish more structured, compliant workflows across the team
  • Function in a Research Nurse Case Manager capacity, maintaining continuity of care for study participants

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Minimum of 2+ year of clinical research nursing experience
  • Oncology nursing experience required; pancreatic cancer experience strongly preferred
  • ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe
  • Experience supporting clinical trials, including patient management and protocol adherence
  • Comfortable working closely with physicians in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Academic medical center experience is a plus, but not required

Key Competencies:

  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills, with the confidence to operate independently and advocate for best practices
  • Ability to navigate complex situations and maintain accountability across teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in working with physicians and cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety, protocol compliance, and data integrity
  • Adaptable and solutions-oriented, with the ability to bring structure to evolving processes
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority
