Job Description

Salary: $75,000 - 95,000 per year Requirements:

  • We require a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
  • We prefer a bachelors degree in a related discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
  • We prefer a masters degree in data, analytics, or a healthcare-related area from an accredited institution.
  • We require at least 3 years of relevant analytics experience.
  • We require at least 3 years of healthcare management experience, including areas such as Workers Compensation, Health Plans, Insurance, Medical Case Management, or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM).
  • We prefer experience in Workers Compensation and Specialty Health Programs.
  • We require at least 1 year of experience communicating, summarizing, or presenting complex analytical findings to stakeholders.
  • We require strong hands-on knowledge of analytical software, database reporting tools, database user interfaces, query tools, and data mining solutions for report creation and data validation.
  • We require experience with industry-standard data visualization and BI tools, including dashboard development with statistics and visual storytelling.
  • We require experience working with both internal data and third-party data sources.
  • We require experience using project management and agile methodologies.
  • We require advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • We require U.S. citizenship.
  • We require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • We require the ability to travel up to 5%.
  • We require intermediate proficiency in MS Suite, SQL, and SSMS.
  • We prefer beginner to intermediate proficiency in Power BI and DAX.
  • We note additional beginner-level experience with VBA, Tableau, R, Python, SAS, and Snowflake.
Responsibilities:
  • We produce, document, and deliver ad hoc and recurring reports on weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedules, supported by clear visualizations and analysis.
  • We translate performance results and trend data into plain language for internal and external audiences.
  • We build reports and visual outputs from multiple data sources by querying databases and using analytical tools such as SSMS, VBA, Power BI, Excel, Access, and database interfaces.
  • We use Power BI to create, refine, and enhance dashboards and reports that combine statistical analysis with visual presentation.
  • We merge internal and third-party data, along with industry benchmarks and best practices, to generate actionable insights for customers.
  • We partner with clients, account and project managers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to showcase program outcomes and recommend solutions to business challenges.
  • We protect data integrity, improve reporting accuracy, and streamline reporting workflows.
  • We contribute to organizational quality initiatives and support the tools and procedures behind them.
  • We test prototype software and take part in the review and release process for new applications.
  • We work with technical teams to standardize and optimize data ingestion, database tools, and reporting software.
  • We collaborate with key stakeholders to define and maintain data standards and common data elements for collection.
  • We document processes through work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • We respond to technical and procedural questions from less experienced teammates.
  • We conduct peer reviews and quality checks of analytical tools and reporting developed or updated by other members of the analytics team.
