Total Attainable Compensation: $183,000 to $336,000+ | No Ceiling

If you are looking for a quiet caseload and a partnership track that rewards seniority over output, close this tab. You will be unhappy here, and you will make us unhappy too.

Still reading? Here is the deal.

The Short Version

Right Path Law Group is a Northern Virginia personal injury and criminal defense firm licensed in five states (VA, DC, MD, NY, FL). We have 600+ active PI cases, a bilingual client base growing every month, and a firm we have built so that a great trial attorney can earn like one.

Compensation

Base Salary: $130,000 to $155,000+ (qualification-dependent)

Quarterly Performance Commissions on firm-wide PI fees collected. No ceiling.

Origination Bonuses on cases you personally bring in.

Year-1 Realistic OTE: $183,000 to $250,000 on plan. Top producers are pacing toward $336,000+.

Base Salary Tiers:

$130,000 base. Minimum qualifications:

• Active Virginia bar license in good standing

• 3+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience, including active litigation

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently

$155,000+ base. All of the above, plus:

• 5+ years of plaintiff PI litigation experience (not defense, not insurance)

• 3+ first-chair jury trials taken to verdict in PI matters

• Active bar license in Maryland or DC in addition to Virginia

• Verifiable case results

• Preferred but not required: Bilingual Spanish/English fluency

Benefits

• Health, vision, and dental insurance, 100% employer-paid (employee coverage)

• 3 weeks paid time off

• 401(k) with 4% employer match after 1 year

• A dedicated support team from day one. Not shared, not theoretical.

What You Will Do

• Own 100+ active PI matters across pre-litigation and active litigation

• Drive cases from treatment to demand to settlement or trial verdict

• Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and jury trials

• Collaborate with your team on discovery, records, and demand packages

This Is Probably Not the Role for You If...

• Your first question in any interview is about remote flexibility or PTO

• You have never taken a case to trial because you "prefer settlements."

• Your trial record is thin, and you are hoping we won't verify it. We will.

• You need a partnership-track conversation before you have demonstrated anything

• You define "high-volume" as 40 cases

Compensation:

$130,000 - $155,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of 100+ active personal injury matters across pre-litigation and active litigation stages
  • Drive cases from initial treatment through demand, negotiation, settlement, or trial verdict
  • Conduct client consultations, depositions, mediations, hearings, and jury trials
  • Appear at status conferences, motions hearings, and pre-trial proceedings in GDC and Circuit Courts
  • Collaborate daily with your dedicated team (4+ support staff) to move cases efficiently from intake to resolution
  • Review and approve demand packages, settlement agreements, and litigation strategy with pod team support
  • Negotiate directly with insurance adjusters and defense counsel on pre-litigation and litigated matters
  • Coordinate with paralegals on discovery, court filings, subpoenas, and trial preparation
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes, deadlines, and file documentation in our case management system
  • Communicate proactively with clients throughout the life of their case
  • Participate in firm strategy sessions, case reviews, and performance check-ins with firm leadership
Qualifications:

Required - All Candidates:

  • Active Virginia bar license in good standing
  • 3+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience, including active pre-litigation and litigation management
  • Minimum 3 first-chair jury or bench trials taken to verdict in personal injury matters
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload with competing deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in client-facing and courtroom settings
  • Proficiency with case management software and standard legal productivity tools

Preferred - Qualifies For $155,000+ Base Salary:

  • 5+ years of plaintiff PI litigation experience (plaintiff side only — defense or insurance-side experience does not qualify)
  • 3+ first-chair jury trials taken to verdict in personal injury matters, with verifiable outcomes
  • Active bar license in at least one additional jurisdiction: Maryland, DC, New York, or Florida
  • Verifiable track record of settlements and verdicts - case results will be requested during the interview process
