Job Title: Medical Assistant Mandarin Speaking

Position Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Location: Flushing, NY 11355

Shift: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM | Day Shift

Pay Range: 28-31$/hour W2

Required Education & Certifications (MANDATORY)

• High School Diploma or GED (REQUIRED)
• BLS Certification (REQUIRED)
• Completion of formal Medical Assistant training program (REQUIRED)

Required Skills & Experience (MANDATORY)

• 1+ year experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Must speak Mandarin (REQUIRED)
• Experience in adult and pediatric outpatient clinic settings
• Strong clinical intake and patient rooming experience
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and aseptic technique
• Experience with specimen collection and labeling

Preferred Certifications

• AAMA-CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)
• AMT-RMA (Registered Medical Assistant)

Clinical Skills & Procedures

• Vital signs, height/weight, pulse oximetry
• 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Venipuncture and specimen collection
• Urine collection (UA/clean catch)
• Blood glucose testing
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Suture removal
• Pap smear assistance
• Biopsy setup/assistance
• Sterile tray setup and aseptic technique
• Patient positioning, draping, and preparation for exam

Administrative / Clinic Duties

• Patient rooming and intake (history, meds, allergies)
• Chart preparation and documentation
• Lab coordination and result handling
• Ordering and stocking clinical supplies
• Supporting providers during procedures
• Maintaining efficient patient flow in clinic

Work Settings

• Adult outpatient clinic
• Pediatric outpatient clinic
• Multi-specialty exposure including Cardiology, Neurology, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Surgery

Job Summary

Provides clinical and administrative support in an outpatient clinic setting by assisting providers with patient care, intake, procedures, and documentation. Ensures accurate vital signs, specimen collection, and patient preparation while maintaining compliance with clinical protocols and delivering high-quality patient support. Requires Mandarin communication ability to effectively serve patient population.
