Job Description

The Production Worker supports daily forge operations in a heavy manufacturing environment, handling metals, operating basic tools, and performing general production tasks. This role involves working in a hot environment with frequent heavy lifting while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general production and forge work, including handling and processing metal parts in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Lift, move, and position heavy materials and products throughout the production process while following safe lifting practices.
  • Operate and use hand tools, power tools, and tape measures to complete production tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspect materials and finished products for quality, identifying defects or issues and reporting them promptly.
  • Follow established manufacturing procedures and work instructions to meet production goals and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly and safely.
  • Work effectively as part of a production team, communicating clearly with coworkers and supporting overall workflow.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols related to working in a hot, heavy manufacturing and forge environment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in general production or manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Comfort working in a hot environment and heavy manufacturing setting.
  • Basic proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a production setting.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for production and inspection tasks.
  • Attention to detail for inspection of materials and finished products.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic to support consistent production operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous forge or metals manufacturing experience is beneficial.
  • Experience with general labor tasks in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Willingness to learn new production processes and tool usage as needed.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Paramount, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.95/hr.
