Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler to design, develop, and maintain scalable data models that support analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality and efficient data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and metadata
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance standards
  • Optimize database structures for performance and scalability
  • Work with data engineering teams on ETL/ELT processes
  • Support data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Conduct data model reviews and enforce best practices
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 4–10 years of experience in data modeling / data architecture
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Data modeling tools (ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner)
  • SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
  • Dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schema)
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL pipelines
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, CPG, BFSI, or healthcare domains
  • Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
  • Exposure to BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Certification in data management or cloud platforms
