Now Hiring: CPCI Certified Coding Instructor (Hybrid | North Kansas City, MO)

We are seeking a highly technical and experienced CPCI Certified Coding Instructor to lead medical coding cohorts and prepare students for professional certification success. If you’re passionate about mentoring the next generation of coders and bring strong multi-specialty expertise, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact.

What You’ll Do

Technical Instruction & Curriculum Delivery

• Deliver instruction aligned with AAPC certification standards
• Teach across 19+ subject areas, including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM
• Break down complex coding concepts across multiple specialties (cardiology, surgery, radiology, etc.)

Student Performance & Development

• Manage grading and provide detailed, technical feedback on coding accuracy
• Track student progress through LMS platforms (e.g., Blackboard)
• Prepare students for real-world coding environments and certification success

Mentorship & In-Person Support

• Lead bi-weekly in-person sessions at the North Kansas City Public Library
• Provide additional in-person support as needed
• Share real-world insights to bridge the gap between education and industry

✅ What We’re Looking For

• CPCI Certification (REQUIRED) – must be active through AAPC
• Active CPC (or equivalent) in good standing
• 5+ years of training/teaching experience (formal or on-the-job)
• Strong multi-specialty coding background (not limited to one specialty)
• Expert knowledge of CPT, HCPCS Level II, and ICD-10-CM
• Experience with LMS platforms (Blackboard preferred)
• Ability to teach both virtually and in-person
