Pay: $27.95/hour

We are seeking a certified and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to support our on-site Occupational Health Clinic in San Angelo, TX .

Schedule

• Full Time
• Days: Monday-Friday
• Hours: Approximately 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

About the Role

Under the direction of a Licensed Physician and supervision of a Registered Nurse (OHN), the Certified Medical Assistant will coordinate both administrative and clinical tasks to support daily Occupational Health clinic operations. This role plays a key part in promoting employee health, wellness, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Duties

• Answer phones, greet visitors, manage scheduling, and prepare EMR documentation
• Maintain clinic metrics, budget tracking, and reporting
• Coordinate meetings and support wellness initiatives
• Ensure compliance with privacy, safety, and confidentiality regulations

Clinical Duties

• Perform basic screenings (vital signs, vision, phlebotomy, hearing, spirometry)
• Prepare employees for exams and assist RN/Physician during evaluations
• Provide minor first aid under supervision
• Maintain medical surveillance records
• Support wellness events such as flu clinics and biometric screenings
• Participate in the Emergency Response Team

✅ Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assisting Certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• CPR/FA/AED certification (required within 90 days of hire)

Preferred:

• 3+ years of healthcare or HR administrative experience
• EMR experience
• Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA
• Experience with Workers’ Compensation
