Shift: Day (4x10 Hours) | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | On-Call Required
Required Education & Certifications (Mandatory)
• ARDMS OR CCI OR RDCS Certification (REQUIRED)
• ARDMS RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) (REQUIRED)
• BLS Certification (AHA) (REQUIRED)
• Valid State License / Compact License (REQUIRED at submission)
Required Skills & Experience (Mandatory)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer (REQUIRED)
• Strong experience in BOTH Vascular Ultrasound AND Echocardiography (HARD STOP – REQUIRED)
• Experience with Adult Echo, Contrast Echo, and Stress Echocardiogram (Treadmill) (REQUIRED)
• Experience performing General Ultrasound (Abdomen, OB, Transvaginal, Breast, etc.) (REQUIRED)
• Experience with Doppler, Duplex, and vascular studies (REQUIRED)
• Experience working with EPIC charting system (REQUIRED)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment with no training provided (REQUIRED)
• Strong knowledge of patient care, imaging protocols, and safety standards (REQUIRED)
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Experience in trauma or acute care hospital settings
• Experience with pediatric and fetal ultrasound
• Experience precepting or mentoring staff
Job Description / Project
The Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer will perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures with a strong focus on echocardiography and vascular ultrasound in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Key responsibilities include:
• Performing Adult Echo, Contrast Echo, and Stress Echocardiograms
• Conducting vascular ultrasound studies and Doppler exams
• Performing general and OB ultrasound imaging
• Operating and documenting imaging using EPIC and PACS systems
• Ensuring accurate image acquisition and patient safety compliance
• Collaborating with radiology and clinical teams for diagnostic support
• Participating in on-call rotation (weekdays & weekends)
• Supporting high patient volume with efficiency and accuracy
Additional Requirements
• On-call required: Weekdays (5 PM – 8 AM) and 24 hrs on weekends
• Must commit to 3 out of 5 major holidays
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Must provide 2 supervisory references
• Travelers may be required to float to nearby facilities
