Business Analyst (BA) Job Description

Position: Junior / Mid-Level Business Analyst

Employment Type : W2 Contract / Full-Time

Location: Boston , MA (Hybrid / Onsite)

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements
Work with clients and stakeholders to understand project needs
Create BRD, FRD, user stories, and functional documentation
Analyze data and prepare reports for business decisions
Coordinate with development and QA teams during project lifecycle
Conduct meetings, presentations, and requirement discussions
Perform gap analysis and process improvement activities
Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validation processes
Maintain project documentation and status reports
Ensure timely delivery of project milestones

Required Skills

Strong communication and presentation skills
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Familiarity with tools like MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JIRA, and SQL
Ability to gather and interpret data effectively
Team collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Attention to detail and documentation skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any field (IT/Business preferred)
Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome
Career gap candidates can also apply
Prior experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or IT background is a plus

Preferred Skills

Basic knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or Excel reporting
Understanding of business processes and workflow analysis
Experience with Agile/Scrum environment
