Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Application Administrator with a strong background in accounting systems to support, maintain, and optimize financial applications for a top client of ours in Southwest Florida. This role bridges IT and Finance, ensuring systems run smoothly, data integrity is maintained, and business users are fully supported.

This role is onsite in SW Florida and contract to hire. Relocation assistance is available. No sponsorship at this time.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support accounting/financial systems (e.g., ERP, GL, AP/AR platforms)
• Manage system configurations, updates, patches, and integrations
• Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolutions with vendors or internal teams
• Partner with Finance to improve workflows, reporting, and system efficiency
• Maintain data integrity, security, and compliance within financial systems
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial processes
• Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and training materials
• Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and migrations
• Create and manage user access, roles, and permissions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems , or related field
• 3+ years of experience supporting accounting or financial systems
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GL, AP, AR, financial reporting)
• Experience with system integrations, data imports/exports, and reporting tools
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with system implementations or upgrades
• Knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, or data analysis
• Familiarity with internal controls, SOX compliance, or audit processes
